The legendary band, KISS, sold out arenas and rocked the world for over 40 years made local headlines when they performed at the American Bank Center on Feb. 19 during their End of the Road Tour. They played in front of a packed audience that included several students from CHS.

“There were a lot of fireworks going off and it was really cool to see one of my favorite bands of all time,” sophomore Darren Quinones said. “The music was awesome to listen to.”

Junior Annalisa Chavez was also at the concert. It was her first time to see KISS perform live.

“I only have three words to explain that night: amazing, insane and legendary,” Chavez said. “When I saw Gene Simmons grab his guitar, it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.”

Freshman Timothy Ingram had the opportunity to go to the pre-show and meet an artist that painted Freddy Mercury, Bob Marley and the band KISS.

“To see the artist make the cool paintings of rock’s greatest icons was a time to remember,” Ingram said. “That whole day was awesome.”
