The news class officers for the 2018-2019 school year were elected, and they are all excited with their new positions.

Dylan Filla is the Corresponding Secretary for the Senior class which means he will have a role at graduation.

“It’s humbling position. I’m not president or vice president, but I still like to think I am making a difference,” Filla said. “I will get to talk at graduation and sit on the stage, so I am excited for that.”

Sophomore Hannah Morris is also the Corresponding Secretary and ran for a officer position because wanted to be someone the student body could look up to.

“I want to make a change on the campus. I also feel that I will make new friends, get volunteer hours, and also just make CHS the best it can be,” she said.

Morris is excited to start making plans for the future of our school.

“Even though we are only a small group of students and might only make small improvements at a time, I believe that if I along with my fellow officers work hard enough, we will be able to make several positive improvements to our campus,” she said.

The student council set many goals to reach this year.

“We want to participate in every campus activity and encourage the student body to do so as well. One of our main goals is to also be role models for our school and students,” Morris said. “But because it has been a crazy beginning of the year, we have not yet set up official meeting or events.”
