The BPA club competed in downtown Corpus Christi last week at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference. Danielle Martinez competed in Interview Skills and received 7th place. John O’Malley, Kassidy Ferguson, and ClaraGrace Pavelka all competed in Presentation Management team and received 5th. The remaining members tried their best, but sadly did not place.
Kassidy Ferguson was one of the 23 candidates running for state officer. While at the conference, she campaigned at a caucus and said a speech. She unfortunately was not elected as officer. John O’Malley also ran for a national office, but he was not elected either.
When the members were not competing, they went to the Art Walk, played on bouncy houses and played card games.
“It was so much fun! And was such an amazing night meeting so many new people! I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to do it!” junior Danielle Martinez said.
