For students, spring time means the beginning of EOC testing. The first tests will be English I and II. English I will be Tuesday, March 28 and English II will be Thursday, March 30.
Mainly, the tests will be for Freshman and Sophomore students, and any other student that previously failed. Luckily, for the students who are not testing on Tuesday or Thursday, they are allowed to come to school at 1:00p.m.
Most students are planning on catching up on sleep; however, Katy Kolar, a junior, will be utilizing the morning to teach first graders at the elementary.
“Normally, I go over to the elementary school during fifth and sixth periods which is the kids recess, but now I get to go in the morning and spend three or four hours with them, Kolar said.
Having the morning off will allow Katy to gain more experience in teaching the kids; something she previously was not able to do.
“By getting to go into the morning, I will get to teach the kids. In the afternoon, when I usually go they have recess, so I don’t get to teach them much,” Kolar said.
